After winning the war against Ravana, Ram with his wife Sita and his brother Laxman returned to Ayodhya, they honored everyone who contributed to the battle against Ravana and his evil army from their side by giving them a token of gratitude. Mata Sita, gave Hanuman, the pearl necklace she was wearing, as a gesture of appreciation for his superior contribution. Hanuman accepted it out of respect but immediately tore it soon after and everyone who was present witnessed Hanuman's action wondered why he ruined the present given by Maa Sita, he said that no matter how precious this ornament is, it has no significance to him if it does not have Shri Rama in it. Later, to prove what he really meant, he tore his chest apart with his own hands to show an image of his Lord Rama and Maa Sita.

The Reason why Lord Hanuman is worshiped on Saturday.

Ravan was invincible by the boon of Lord Shiva and Brahma. He wanted the same providence for his son Meghnath, and so when his son was about to be born, Ravan kidnapped all the 9 planets to placed them in the 11th position, so that his newborn child get the boon of being immortal and invincible and as a result, this made him held up all the planets including the Saturn,(Shani Dev) in a place where it was impossible for them to get free, However, Lord Hanuman reached the place when he was searching for Maa Sita in Lanka after she was kidnapped by Ravan. It was Lord Hanuman who rescued Shani Dev from Ravan and to pay gratitude for the gesture to Lord Hanuman, Shani Dev gave him a boon that the effect of Shani’s inauspiciousness will never affect hanuman and In return, Lord Hanuman said that none of his devotees should be affected as well. In order to rescue themselves from the effects of Saturn(Shani dev),  people worship Lord Hanuman on Saturday
